I’m excited to share that the first edition of my dementia-friendly coloring book, On the Page: A Coloring Journey Back Home To You, is now complete and with my local printer for its initial estimate — a milestone that feels both personal and deeply meaningful.
As an art/creative director and brand strategist, I’ve spent my life telling stories through graphic design and illustration. This book is inspired by the hand-drawn coloring books of the 1950s and 60s — the visual world so many seniors grew up with. Each page is hand-drawn and paired with a simple caption designed to support memory, conversation, and offer moments of recognition and connection for seniors living with dementia. It’s not childish, and it’s not clinical. It’s meant to feel familiar, and respectful.
This is an independent project, created with the hope of making meaningful, era-appropriate activity books accessible to seniors who deserve tools that reflect their lived experiences. If you feel moved to support the project as it moves from concept to pilot programs to printed editions, I’ve added a Buy Me a Coffee link — purely optional, and certainly no pressure.
Thank you for being part of this creative journey and for believing in work that sparks connection, stimulates memory, and brings smiles into the lives of older adults.
